I like the LF so much I joined! I've had Labs since '96: Timber (YF, rip), Duke (rip), Ace (rip) and Tag (CMs) and having recently lost Ace (bright one in pix) to uncontrollable arthritis, I'll be getting another to be a buddy to Tag (7yrs) who really needs one to wrestle and jaw with. Will get the new guy in a few weeks. Am leaning heavily for another CM but I like a yellow, too. There's one YM in litter but is very light. Would the yellow darken with maturing? Looking fwd to chatting with you and raising another healthy Lab.

Hello and welcome to the forum. Sorry I don't know the answer to your question, I have only ever had black labs. I am sure one of the other forum member will be able to tell you.

    Hi phantom and welcome!
I think puppies do change colour a bit as they get older but not sure there is any consistency in it.

The concensus is that the very light yellow might darken a bit but don't count on it. The pups I'm looking at will turn 6wks next week, I get 2nd pick, so will see about selecting my (Tag's)(our) new buddy, then wait another few weeks til his momma is thru teaching him a few things. I'm leaning heavily on a CM...

    Hi there,
Good luck with your choice.....Dexter is our first dog so I have to admit to a strong yellow male bias!Looking forward to hearing which you decide on.
    Best Wishes

Hello from Coco & me - Don't know the colour answer - Coco is a brindle & black German Shepherd x Labrador. Before him, we had Scooby, a big, lovable, black Labrador. Whichever one you get will be a fun friend for Tag.

Welcome to you from Mags, Tatze and Mollie from Manchester UK :hi:

Tatze is my pet dog, a black Lab and she's four years old. Tatze means 'paw' in German.

Mollie is my fourth Guide Dog puppy, a black Lab who is six months old.
