First thought: "Wait, they got another dog? Some kind of special cocker spaniel?" Second thought: "Ohhhh, she's talking about weeing!!!" It's been a long day.
Vanilla does that too around food, but depending on what it is she will be ready for it or just go 'yeah and...not that flash you know' so she is not that disappointed
I find I'm doing it when I've got no dog with Me. looking for lab hazards and chuntering under my breath.
Not even 830 am on Good Friday and I've had to call the emergency vet because the kid left her hot cross bun unattended and Xena snaffled it. Just have to monitor her for vomiting or diarrhea for the next couple of hours. I'm cheesed off at the kid because I'm so careful about grapes and raisins, but the vet wasn't concerned due to a) dog size and b) amount ingested. Paws crossed.
My friend's spaniel snaffled 4 last year. She phoned the vet and the vet asked what brand of hot cross buns they were! They said basic supermarket brands were less of a risk as they put fewer raisins in, luxury brands were more dangerous as are packed with fruit! Hope Xena is ok, am sure it will be fine xx
4 hours later and I think we're good. A nice solid poo on her walk, and she managed to snaffle some disgusting soggy cat poo when I was distracted looking at the view. I think she feels fine, and it's nice to know that her body can tolerate a small amount of raisins.
The sleep you fall into after giving your mam the sorry eyes because you climbed all over her head and hit her in the eye
Hey, maybe Stanley and Toby DO have more in common than I would have thought! Except Toby can't be bothered with the "sorry eyes" business. His are more "I'm so pitiful that you should really let me sit on your head and try to nibble your squishy bits simply because I have these really really really sad eyes and they get me everything in the universe or they SHOULD anyway..."
I was stupid and I forgot what it was like to walk in open country with 2 dogs. I forgot how much we all loved it and how pleasurable it was. All moving together as one, how I could just loose myself in the feel of it . A great walk today and a reminder not to let go of my hopes for another dog
Nothing. Pongo rations my snuggles. In the evening he will snore on the sofa with me, but only at his end (not my end). Same in the morning. He has no interest in being in contact me, he will move away if I get too close. But between the hours of 2pm and 4pm, if I sit on the sofa he will jump up and snuggle right up to me, head on my lap, snoring to raise the dead. What goes on in that great big yellow head, I wonder?
