I realised that I've been neglecting Shadow of late. Luna and Willow both get individual walks - Squidge because of the fact she's a puppy and Willow because of her anxiety. Shadow hasn't had one-on-one time in ages; he's always with either one or other, or both, of the girls. I've noticed he's been roaming farther on walks and not alway responding to his recall, which used to be pretty darned good. I got frustrated about this yesterday, but after a calming breath, realised it's because my attention is always focussed on the girls, and so he's started finding his own entertainment.

We're off to Spain for the summer in a couple of days and once we're there, I'm committing to give him back the attention he should have.

Sorry, boy, you deserve better x

It would be impossible to be 100% equitable 100% of the time, plus all pups would be lucky to have a doggie mum like you! Shadow knows his special 1x1 time is coming soon. :)

Don't feel too badly Fiona , these things happen but our dogs are the most forgiving creatures , they live in the day, so what happened yesterday, the day before and the day before , will not matter to him at all x

It always makes me happy to see how much they love their one-on-one time with me. I think I naturally assume they're happiest with the other dogs, but it's not true. The great thing with where I live in Spain is that I can literally walk out the door (of our small house, so even getting to the door doesn't take any time!) and do some training. It's just perfect for doggy time. I can't wait to get there :)

It won't take long to regain that small bit of lost ground!

And you are a great doggy mum.

Fiona, I read your posts here and "this little doggy" and there is no way you are a bad doggy mum! Willow, Shadow and Luna obviously mean the world to you.

You know that Shadow has definitely shared this meme on doggy Facebook ;) Seriously though, you're a better mum to three dogs than I am to one, how you find enough hours in the day to do all that you do is beyond me.
