Yep I made it they said I wouldn't but I did! So now next year starts as my 1st birthday because I'm now in the life I'm not surposed to be in. I feel very happy and proud of myself despite nearly dying on numerous occasions I am having a normal life. Being stuborn well bl**dy minded works. Yeah! I have a great day so far and I'm going out for cake now. So thank you and I hope you have a fun day too.
Can't wait to see some photos of the little chap. He looked gorgeous in the first ones. It's so exciting
Pssssst... It's nearly 11pm... I am on the couch... Poppy is in her bed... Merlin is in his crate next to me and he has stopped shrieking...
Merlin is a complete delight - Poppy was much better with him than I had expected and I can see that they will be great friends. Super vigilance meant that ALL pees and poos took place in the garden today, not in the house! Merlin is a confident little chap, with excellent social skills which means he can read Poppy's body language very well and back off when things get too much for her. But she has been very good - only told him off on two occasions, once when he tried to climb up on the couch with her (sacrilege), and once when he tried to suckle from her... I am confident that everything is going to be fine! Oh - and he LOVES playing little retrieving games!! Yay!!!
He really wants to sleep on a piece of vet bed in the hall... But he has to get used to the crate. Hence my night (or several nights...) on the couch next to him. Sleep well everyone, more updates tomorrow... But I have to add - I am completely besotted with my new puppy. He is the most beautiful thing I have ever seen. More beautiful even than my children (seriously hope they don't read this... If you do, you know I love you more, honestly...)
