Hi. Rachael and Snowshoe. Apparently there isn't a problem with olive oil, it even can be beneficial for the same reasons as for us. However, with diarrhea the vet advises not to add any kind of fat or oil except from the meat.

And at the time i didn't understood it was specific to the diarrhea treatment.

    Sorry for the misunderstanding.

Ok I'm not really sure where to post this but as you all may have similar situations, my yellow lab, Dallas, is a food hound. Today I ran into the gas station to grab some water and when I got back to my car there was a 1/4 to 1/2 eaten cliff bar laying on my passenger seat. (White chocolate macadamia nut) my vets office was closed and so I rushed home and gave her a tablespoon of hydrogen peroxide to induce vomiting because I know macadamia nuts and chocolate are very bad for doggos.
**She has eaten a large piece of chocolate cake in the past and my vet I instructed me to induce vomiting. So I followed the same precautions. So im pretty much asking, do you think she will be okay? I'm such a worry wart and honestly a regular at the vets office for how often I bring her in. Please some advice?

Do you have an 24hr emergency vet number you can call?

Sorry I don't have any other advice. Good luck.

White chocolate isn't a danger, but the macadamia nuts are. Please try & call your vet, or an emergency vet.

Thank you for your response anyway, it's been about 19 hours since she ingested and has thrown it up. I stayed up and monitored her all night, She has NOT had any kind of symptoms (lathargic, wobbly, diarrhea, vomiting) I'm hoping we are in the clear!

My lab when she was a puppy, about 20kg, managed to open a tin of 1.5kg quality streets and pretty much eat them all bar about 10, wrappers and all, no ill effects at all apart from diarrhoea that night and then the next morning when she was running around on the beach she suddenly stopped and through up a load of the wrappers as if to say "I don't want them".
I was more worried than she was, I called to the emergency vet who asked her weight and how much chocolate she had eaten and he said she should be fine which thankfully she was
