Awwww so adorable. During winter, Lucky rotates around the sofas so he is always lying in the sun. Maybe if you have a sunny spot somewhere you could put her bed there or encourage her to sleep there.
I live in North East England and I don't think I've ever seen it hit 28c. 22c is a heatwave and we'll be lucky if we get that 3 times this year
We definitely do. This was in the evening. And it only happened once but it made me think because we are in "autumn" now and it is going to get much colder. We live in a small valley and it is cold. Harley is a very chilled pup and actually, I think she really liked wearing something of her dads.
Can't wait to see your creations! I haven't the patience for sewing, unfortunately I agree they're all different...I have a coat for my lab but never use it as he seems to prefer the cold. He loves sitting out in the drizzling rain on the lawn, thinks nothing of diving through a little rivulet of water when it's starting to snow, moves from one spot to another at night when the one he's using gets too warm, and so on.
My Harley wears dog robes when it's cold and she's soaking wet, but it only stays on until she is dry. In the winter she loved having a blanket over her in the evenings. I think dogs acclimatise just like us and I expect to you 10 degrees is cold. Look forward to seeing what you make!
Now Moo is old she feels the cold so her beds near to the log burner and i have been known to tuck a blanket round her on a cold damp night. She likes it now when she was young she would jump into water that was so cold when she came ice would form 'on her coat . She hated being pampered now she lets me. Shes a funny old thing I even got her a special fluffy blanket . looking forward to seeing your outfits
I used to dress the family lab up when I was a kid; hot, cold, whatever, I remember dressing her in this towelling robe I used to wear on the beach. Orange flowers on it with a belt round the waist! It was more than 40 years ago and I see her in my mind's eye so clearly still, dressed in my robe! Sometimes I put a light blanket over Plum if I think she might be cold and I put the heating on in the kitchen to warm it up before she goes to bed! Yet before we got her my son and I kept warm in extra jumpers and under blankets rather than put the heating on. The things we do for our dogs eh?
