So.......sorry to sound crude but there have been a couple of mornings where we have come down to find no poo on puppy pads but a few "poo marks".the big question is........is our puppy eating his own poo????????I have read about this and puppies do it.the thought of it horrifies me.

I`m afraid that this is a very common thing, gross though it might seem to us as more sophisticated beings ;) Its something that most grow out of, thank goodness .
Do you use Puppy Pads all the time ? I would seriously think of not using them as it can confuse pups , giving them permission to poop indoors and then having to be trained all over again , really its far better to take the bull by the horns and start the outside wee and poop straight away, it may take a while but you only have to do it the once :)

Poo eating is one of the drawbacks of leaving the puppy loose overnight I'm afraid. It is highly likely that that is what is happening. :(

You may be able to get him to poo outside before bed-time and not overnight by moving his mealtimes earlier and getting up earlier. It is worth the effort as poo-eating is a difficult habit to break.
