My Labrador-shaped alarm clock woke me up bright and early and we set out. Was a rough night as my lab was too warm and kept needing comfort cuddles, which generally took place on top of my head or lying right on top of me He's such a softie. Only saw two other people the entire time, it was awesome Definitely making this a habit!
What gorgeous photos. love the soft early morning light. Beau is looking very happy and fresh after his restless night
The tower is Victoria Tower, built as a memorial for Queen Victoria's Diamond Jubilee. Normally there are dozens of people here on a weekend so it was great to have the place pretty much to ourselves The other pics are on public footpaths crisscrossing around the area.
Beautiful, and Beau looks incredibly happy to be there! There's a hint of the @Dexter about him, I think.
Oh I am too, believe me. I'm never up that early if I can help it But my lab's been waking me up around 5:30am anyways so I figured - might as well! Normally I just try to ignore him until I'm ready to get up a couple hours later, but the sleep is not good anyways since he's so fidgety at that point. Now I'm really loving it
Fabulous pictures! What I am amazed at is that you actually met two people out at that time on a Saturday morning
Cross that bridge when we get to it... Truth be told I'm a major wimp for the cold, going to need to toughen up!
They were probably looking at us and thinking the same Doing it again tomorrow, this time to a reservoir Going to make some sandwiches in the morning to bring with, and it's about a 20 minute drive so probably won't get there til half 6, but still, not bad for a Sunday
Pictures look good, and Beau looks happy. That is part of the reason I enjoy the early morning walks. Very few people out. OK now that the winter is setting in, not that much fun with the rain at times so we try to time it. Yes you do get some amazing pictures as no one is around to spoil them
I've had some of my most fun and interesting walks early in the morning. Seen some interesting wild life and seen some beautiful landscapes. I've even got up in the dark to race up a well loved hill to see the sun rise on a special day.
You take some amazing photos of your lab, silverfalcon, they're all great! In a way I'm glad that we had a rubbish summer - no need for uncivilised early walks.
