Does anybody know where I can get a rubber dummy from similar to Tillydyes on the dropping it short post ?

My 2 monsters insist on trying to chew the canvas dummies I have which is slightly hampering our clicker retreive progress.

I wonder if it's because they've had toys in the past made from canvas? I think rubber if they exist or maybe the plastic ones might be the solution.

They will do the pick up well with a ball but I want to use something different so the ball can be kept for play.

    Thanks. Jen :D

Try kennelmate the dummies are call hexa bumper or something like that. The other websites I use for gundog stuff are Sporting Saint and workingdogcompany but I think only kennelmate have the dummies you're looking for :D

Hi Jen, I ordered mine via Amazon in the USA and had my daughter bring them over when she came to visit. If you look at Heidrun's 'Dummies' thread you will find a long discussion about them, and where to get them.

I ordered one of the Avery Hexabumper dummies (black and white) last week and it should arrive on Monday. Plus an Acme plastic whistle.

I got it on your recommendation (after you explained that the black and white flashing aspect makes it easier for the dog to see in the air) - so thanks!!!! :D

Going to order two. Black and white one but not sure which other colour to get probably orange that's bright. Getting a bit ahead of myself ::) but when I eventually get them retrieving together they like their own ( Scott won't bring back Scouts ball and vica versa ! ) so I will have to be able to tell the difference. ???

Hexabumper gang getting bigger although I'm a bit slow. ;D

Ps. Just looked on heidruns dummies post (thanks Karen). I noticed two sizes of hexabumper. The size on the web site I found is 2" I think. Is that the smaller or larger ? ???

Orange is great for us to see but quite hard for dogs to spot. They don't see colours in the same way we do. I have an orange hexabumper and like the fact that it is so easy to spot for me, but the dog needs to use its nose a bit more when hunting for it rather than its eyes. :D
I would mix them up regularly so that both dogs get used to retrieving everything and anything and not just their own dummy. ;)

Thanks Heidrun will give that ago. Like I said I am getting a bit ahead of myself re 2 ;)

Although once they are retrieving individually I can mix them up then ( still a bit ahead of myself ;D)

Would you suggest the black one then as the other colour ? Dont want to make it too hard too soon .
