    Hi Lovelies

I have a 4 month old choc lab, she is so sweet however loves rocks from the garden she has already broken a tooth. Any how my question is (which i hope you can help), when she has something that she knows she is not allow ie. a stone and we try and catch her to get it off her she runaway with her tail tucked under in between her legs. I have read a few sites which suggest that she is frighten or anxious however when she gets to a place where she knows we cant reach she is wagging her tail. Therefore I don't think its that. This tail thing happens also when she is having a bit of a manic 10 mins. I am positive she is happy and not anxious but would like some guidance if poss - Thanks in advance.

Hi Claire and welcome to the forum.

It's really difficult to say how your girl is feeling without seeing her. A wagging tail does not always mean a happy dog - it can also mean the dog is anxious or uncertain. The rest of the body language will give you the clues.
Yes, they often tuck their tails when thy do "the zoomies", and, again, the rest of her body language will give you clues to that.

As for the stones, you're right to take them away from her, because, as you've found out, they can easily cause broken teeth which are very painful and costly. But, rather than chasing the dog, which can easily turn into a wonderful game as the dog learns to play keep-away, it's best to train the dog to give you the item instead.
