Last night I dreamed that Molly had shrunk to puppy sized and was in danger of disappearing! She's on a diet and I think she's been sending me 'I'm starving' thought waves during the night.
Why is it that my one show dog is the one who likes to get the filthiest? Need to get this disgusting monster clean and sparkly for her first Spanish show tomorrow. So glad I don't have a long-haired breed to coif.
Day 5, if you count the day of the op ? Nell is doing soooo well , which is great but also much harder work as she is convinced that she is good to go ! We`re doing two ten minute walks on lead per day, she gets so frustrated seeing Sam charging around, but its for her own good , just wish she understood that ! Today , I took her for a little walk , then left her at the woodland café with Paul , where she had much fuss and treats , then I went off with Sam for an hour and a half hard walk over rocks by the river . Going to take her for a little longer tomorrow , weather permitting x
"Suerte!" for tomorrow. Here's wishing that Luna blows those Spanish Labbies minds with her secret Squidge Powers.
Not friends with Pongo right now. He ran off from the garden - no idea why. Gone for an hour or more. There's me just yelling his name and feeling helpless. Neighbours alerted but nothing more to do except wait by the phone. Eventually someone phoned to say they'd found him (five miles away). I went to get him from these two nice people who'd been waiting in the pouring rain for twenty minutes with my stupid dog. He's covered in mud, I have hosed him down - not particularly lovingly I have to say. I do understand there is no point being angry at him because he won't connect it with his behaviour. I really do understand that. But I am NOT his friend right now.
Very worrying, five miles away is quite a distance, do you think there was a bitch on season somewhere? No point in telling him off on his return as he would have no idea what for, would perhaps have thought it for coming back! I cannot think how he got 5 miles away in 40 minutes (you said the lovely couple were waiting with him for 20 minutes) do you think he was taken in a car?!
I've felt like that with Rory this weekend for different reasons sometimes think I just should have got another cat
That's one heck of an expedition Pongo! You must have been so worried and cross at the same time. Coco ran off in the fog once (after sheep, it turned out!), on moor-like countryside - only gone for 10 or so minutes, but I remember the awful, helpless feeling, and the trying not to be cross when I found him, trying to be upbeat as I walked him back to the car.
I've had that phone call about Moo many times. The longest was about 2 hours and we'd gone to defcon 2 panic wise. Id called OH and he was preparing to collect them foster dog I'd got with me and bring torches. She had got into the river the found a culvert which went under a four lane busy main road swam down that and got into a school. She played with the kids ate their lunches and rolled in human poo. I collect a small poo covered black dog from a teacher. She said Moo was so well behaved and sweet. She saw what state I was in so She didn't say anything about the poo. Moo was tired and had been waiting for me for ages
Hmmm. Sorry, I was exaggerating. I've calmed down a bit now. So..... he went about 1.5 miles as the crow flies, probably about 3 in total. Through woods and mud and up and down hills. Took him about an hour or so. Took me ten minutes to go around by road. And they'd been there with him for ten minutes already. I have nearly forgiven him.
We always do they're just dogs. I think the devastation of possibly lossing Moo perminantly made me die a little. She was such a hard dog. It will be ok just get some rest
Axel was having quite the dream.. growling in his sleep and his hackles went up to! I've never seen his hackles up while sleeping before. Makes me wonder what he was dreaming about
