    Hi
In our pack of 3 I have one intact female (Minstrel choc lab 5 years old). My cairn has been spayed and we will have Simba neutered when he is old enough.

We always meant to have minstrel spayed, but after being aware of a disastrous spay of another bitch it somewhat put me off. I also had to have major surgery 2 years ago and it made me think that I did not want to put minstrel through it unnecessarily. We put up with the mess and are very careful with her.

Going back to the point raised Minstrel has a very distinct smell for several weeks before and leading up to her season, which is not there the rest of the time.

I love Plum's smell, dry and wet, I don't know if it's that strong though and I don't smell it about the house. I also love her stinky breath!

Coco smells of biscuits when he's wet. Like chewed up digestive biscuits. It's not unpleasant.
