We pick up Watson, our 8 week old yellow lab tomorrow afternoon -so excited. I was going to wait until I had a picture to post but thought there might be words of wisdom from you all. I have been reading everything for a number of weeks, and feel like I am as ready as I can be.

If you have everything ready just enjoy your time with Watson (great name) as they don't stay snuggly pups for long. Look forward to seeing some photo's. Have a lovely day and I wish you luck. xx :)

There's always time for one last crawl around the floor at puppy height to look for hazards.

Have a wonderful day, and take lots of pictures.

No advice - if you feel prepared then I am sure you are...and yes reading the threads on here covers pretty much everything! Just enjoy your early days with Watson (I do love that name) and take tons and tons of pictures - I have loads and still wish I had taken more! Enjoy :)

Ditto @Samantha Jones I wish I'd taken loads more! Those teeny puppy days pass by so quickly in hindsight. And video too, that's always lovely to re-watch :)

My advice is just to enjoy him because he'll be big before you know it!

And take lots of pics :)

Welcome and have a GREAT day!

And remember, however well-prepared you are things are going to go a bit wrong somewhere....and that's fine too. Puppies are unpredictable and individual, and Watson (just LOVE that name) will definitely throw you some curve balls - but don't worry, you can guarantee that someone on this forum has had the same issues and we are here to help!

Enjoy these early days, they pass incredibly quickly!

Meet Watson, currently sound asleep on the living room floor :) are his wee teeth ever sharp! I underestimated the stories! He has cried a lot, hoping that passes fast, it just breaks my heart.

Ah I can't see the photo but just wanted to say hi and wish you and Watson all the best !
Great name ..it's our surname! For a nano second we considered it for our dog Dexter ,just for the novelty of having Watson Watson :)
Enjoy getting to know each other and settling him in
    Good luck

hmm, I wonder if others are having a hard time seeing the photo -it took ages to figure out how to even post one -for some reason it is very hard here.

You need to use a 3rd party site like Flickr or Photobucket - there's some help threads in the technical section. Can't wait to see the picture..

You can't use Google as your host, annoyingly. You can use Flickr, Photobucket, Imgur, Facebook (if images are set to public)... basically any site that allows you to have a direct link to the jpg. There are detailed instructions in the Technical section of the forum :)
