Hi there Indigo. Do you use any existing dog walking services? I think dog-sitting is fraught with difficulties. Have you looked at Borrow-My-Doggy? Not sure they have this facility. My only thought (as a non-London person)
A neighbour of mine tried to book a pet sitter for 8 days, he was told he would have to check with his insurance who said if anything happened whilst the sitter was staying they wouldn't pay out because they aren't known to him My son Joseph is going to do it and make some money to go back to Uni I would check as not sure if this is normal!
There are various organisations that offer this type of service so you could try Www.homesitters.co.uk Www.pawshake.co.uk Www.petpals.co.uk There are also people who offer home boarding, so you could also try Www.holidays4dogs.co.uk In any event you need to check that you are covered on your household insurance if soneone is staying in your home. You also need to check that they are fully insured and are police checked and that you have met them before and are happy to hand over responsibility for your pup to them. Also that there is a clear contract in place to set expectations.
