Libby broke my leg!!!

Double yikes!!!!!!

 

You poor thing.
Monty ran into me nearly 2 yrs ago, I was in intense pain, convinced something was broken as I heard a cracking sound in my lower leg. Fortunately only ligament damage but on crutches for 3 weeks and limping much longer. Again, a common theme, Monty was playing with another dog and completely misjudged his turn. Slippy grass meant i had no grip. Sending you hugs and a speedy recuperation

They use splints up here not plaster. Hope you get that, so much better.

At least you will be up to date with Forum news. I can recommend NOT watching daytime TV
Love that you can use Wi-Fi in hospitals these days. When I had my hip done, it was just on the fringes of allowing mobile phones, and even then, they weren't smart phones (mine wasn't anyway).

 

Operation Day! Going in at lunchtime. Will have a hinged bracket thing so can gradually bend leg more and more but no weight bearing for at least two months!!! Yikes.

The good news is that friends have rallied round and there's a rota of 4/5 lovely families having Libby at their own homes for the next two months!

Will be thinking of you today, the 'hinge thing' sounds better than a full plaster which would hold your leg stiff. Good friends have rallied round so now it is just left to say 'get better soon'

That is dreadful! I've been knocked over but thankfully nothing more serious.
I hope your recovery is quick and easy and that you have loads of help with her.

Six days post accident, 3 since op and I'm still here in hospital! A very very painful, difficult time. Please be careful with your running dogs.
