True to form , Sam has always been very greedy ::) About six months ago, he caught a nasty infection in his guts through eating bird seed which had fallen off out bird table, no doubt contaminated by bird droppings , he had a course of really strong AB`s to sort him out , so the bird table was moved to the front garden .However, the 15 kilo sack of wild bird food remained in our outhouse , I thought that the rolled over top had made it Sam proof , how wrong can you be ??? At some stage yesterday , the black peril broke into the sack , we didnt see him do it but the results spoke for themselves , numerous piles of seedy poo all over the garden, just like museli ::) Amazingly , he didnt appear to even have tummy ache after his unconventional snacking , just about 12 deposits of undigested bird seed all over the lawn which no doubt now will be sprouting all sort of weird plants as it was almost impossible to clear it all up . The bird seed sack is now under lock and key :)

Wonderful! They really are the world's greediest dogs, arent they?? Pops caught, killed and swallowed a mouse at the weekend before I could blink... As well as being a bit horrified, I was also sure we would have what my other half refers to as 'a poo party' in her crate the next morning, but apparently she has a strong stomach, so I think it may soon be time to turn to the RMB diet! :D

haha he's a true lab! Barney once broke into his bag of kibble I keep in the garage, then got really thirsty and drank the bowl dry. I hadn't realised what he'd done and gave him more water! His tummy puffed up as the flipping stuff took in the water I though he was going to pop! But he was fine.

Poo Party! LOL what a great expression! Will remember that one...

    Greedy buggers, aren't they ;).

I've had one Lab eat 5 kgs of dried puppy food (not hers) after breaking into a new bag. I thought she had bloat, as her stomach was so distended and hard. It was only when I turned around and saw the evidence, I knew what had happened. It took two days and numerous huge piles of poo before she returned to normal.

I've had another who ate a whole bag of Guinea Pig food. She also looked like she had Bloat and pooed Mushy Muesli for two days.

And a third who has managed 3 times now to get into the sack of defrosting chicken carcasses (behind closed garage doors), to eat as many Bone Ice Lollies as she could before being caught. I think the most she has managed has been around 10 whole carcasses, although no doubt she would have eaten more if I hadn't spotted her. ::)

Rocket once managed to get a whole bucket full of frozen bags of tripe (tripe-cicles) that were supposed to be on their way to my freezer to last her weeks. The bags reappearing were the most entertaining!

    LOL.

That reminds me of when one of mine swallowed a used condom. I was so glad it made an appearance at home and not in public, as the flippin' thing was so slippery and stretchy, I had a hell of a job "relieving" her of the revolting thing. Bleurgh!!!

    Haha!!!

Poppy found some desiccated fox poo yesterday (yes the sun is shining and it had had a chance to dry out!!) and I had quite a tussle with her to get it away from her. We'll have to do a bit more practice with the 'leave it!' command (dog treat was simply not going to win over yummy fox poo). :p

Ah, Karen! If you manage to do a "leave" for fox poo, share your secret and I will be your friend forever!
We have stinky breath +++ and have had 3 bath days on the trot thanks to Mr Foxy and his friends! ::)
