Sorry to keep banging on but Charlie has had a few runny episodes since lunch also vomited up his lunch which was undigested. Why would Chappie be better, sounds horrible xx
@charlie Oh poor Charlie that's not so good. I think I would be going for the starvation option with only water for him to drink for the rest of today in the hope that his tummy starts sorting itself out if there's mothing for it to digest. I guess that Caharlie orobably doesn't feel much like eating anyway. If no better tomorrow a phone call to the vet just for advice and a sanity check. I use Chappie necause it was recommended to me when one if my dogs was poorly with an upset tummy. It's a complete food containing white fish. I think it stinks but the dogs seem to like it and it is easy to prepare - just open the tin. I used to cook white fish and rice but now reach for the tin instead. It seems easy for dogs to digest and you can feed it for a couple of days - I start a couple of spoonfuls at a time - and then gradually switch back to kibble.
@Jojo83 thanks for your help, although I have already fed him dinner but a much smaller portion so we shall see if it remains in his tummy. The problem is he does feel like eating. I will see how he goes and if he vomits/poos again I will go for the starvation method and call the vet. I will get a couple of tins of Chappie too. xx
Chappie appears to be widely used as something to settle tummies. I've never tried it, because we can't buy it here, but my breeder (and many other sources) swear by it. I hope Charlie is feeling better now.
YES, Charlie kept all his meals down yesterday, no runny poo and a semi firm poo this morning, I think he is on the mend. I really hope so because I want to crack on with the forum challenge xx Note to self, must get some tins of Chappie x
