Hello has anyone ever used benzoyl peroxide pet shampoo (2.5% not the human strength) for skin conditions? Cody's facial acne isn't clearing up. The vet gave hibiscus wash and when we took him back last weekend he gave him an antihistamine injection incase it was an allergy. however he said he wasn't overly concerned and we needed go back. Just keep using the hibiscus However it doesn't seem to be effective and we have noticed a couple of more spots. Everything I have seen online recommends benzoyl peroxide shampoo however I cannot seem to get this in the UK (online) and many others are out of stock. Anyone any experience in using it and if so where in the UK did you get it from. If not - any further suggestions for a deep cleaning antibacterial wash
Benzoyl peroxide is pretty common for human acne. I think washing with a weak Betadine solution is a common and effective remedy too.
