Well it looks as if we have come out the other side of this behaviour :) The standing on lead and absolutely no interaction at all worked, and although I still get the occasional rhino charge and flypast at shoulder height it is maybe once a week, at I can pretty much predict when it will happen -- in an open field and on a fresh sunny morning . Phew!! There is still the odd flicker of a tantrum if things aren't entirely to her liking but I think that's just her spirit and I can handle that.
So pleased I kept my log on here -- it really helped, thanks everyone.

Big well done for your consistency - that is such a hard thing to keep up with. It's really paid off.

Well done @selina27 - just goes to show that consistency does work, even if there are times when you feel it's making no difference.

I've just been reading through your log, it sounds so similar to my situation, there is a lot of useful info in there, thank you for doing this! My Bonnie is going through this right now, she's 9 months, just out of season. Jumping, biting. This weekend we've walked her on a long training line, it's been dragging along behind her, (20ft) but we've been keeping hold of it, and reeling her in when we pass people (forest tracks). I'm worried about letting her completely free again incase she jumps up at someone. I posted a thread about a muzzle the other day, and reading through it i'm absolutely sure that is now not the way to go, we need to keep working with her. Your comments really helped me on that, about this log, so I've searched the forum for it. thank you! Did Cassie ever jump up at other people? or was it just you?

Yes, you dead right there Atemas.
@Caro A , I'm pleased you've found this helpful, it was quite a hard thing to do! But you know what they say, a trouble shared and all that … on a world wide forum was definitely halved for sure!
In terms of the jumping up and nipping, no she's never done that to anyone else. In terms of worrying about other people on walks etc, I remember feeling like that. But somehow we've got through that, I'm quite lucky as I have a very unpopulated area to walk in. It was a worry because if people wave their arms around she thinks they're playing still, but it tends not to be new people.

If she's not long out of season beware a phantom pregnancy, but it might be early yet.
