    Hi all,

My pup of 4 months has recurring diarrhea which always seems to clear up with a change to rice and chicken or even just the addition of rice to regular kibble.

As the addition of rice seems to resolve the diarrhea is it safe to assume this is not a bug of some sort or should I still get a stool test done?

We had thought the problem was gone but we tried just kibble today and it was back to the squirts within hours :(

    Thanks all!

Hi , have you asked the Vets advice ? I would certainly do so , and probably ask re a sample as it could be a nasty bug in the guts which needs antibiotics , poor little soul, it must be miserable , for both of you .

I would definitely go with your vet's advice.
You would think it more likely food related rather than a bug, but it would be sensible to exclude some kind of infection before looking at other options.

What food are you using at the moment?.
