I wanted to share this sad story with you because we do have some teeth threads and this might help someone in the future.

My best friend has a rescue terrier cross, not sure of her age but the vet thinks between 7 and 10 years, so not old at all for a terrier. Her breath has been really smelly so my friend took her to the vet where they recommended she have her teeth cleaned. She was booked in last week but on further inspection she needed a rotten tooth extracting. Later the vet rang my friend with devastating news, they found a tumour in her jaw under the rotten tooth which was removed and it is cancer, her lovely little dog has days or weeks to live and if she is in any pain she needs to be PTS.

My friend is so upset and in shock at the outcome of what was supposed to be a simple procedure :(:( x

Oh that's so sad. I think we dread this every time we put our beloved dogs in for surgery.

Just terribly sad news...the only thing I can think to add is at least the pain can now be controlled, it must have been uncomfortable...:(

Very sad. At least a vet managed to diagnose it and has allowed the family time to say goodbye xx

I'm so sorry, that's horrible news. I too think the small nugget of good out of this is the wee doggy can be kept comfortable now, and helped on her way if that is best. :(
