Hi all firstly ill tell you our routine up at 6am with my oh breakfast and toilet then at 9am 40 minute walk then home, he then plays in garden and naps then i give him lunch at 12 another walk at 1pm then dinner at 6pm and last long walk at 7pm.
But he still has so much energy and is so destructive i cannot leave him alone he digs up plants steals remote controls rips up toilet roll and has eaten our cushions steals cuttlery if reachable steals out my handbag aswell.
Gojng a walk is so stressful he pulls chews his lead now on leash number 4 i bought a anti pull harness so im praying it works.
I will praise him if off lead he does come straight back when shouted waits and goes back on leash. he was attacked last week off a loose jack russell he just froze and i was bitten in process.
Is this normal puppy behaviour like a terrible twos? Hes such a loving dog.

Sounds to me like he is bored. Try doing stuff with him where he has to use his brain - finding toys or treats in the garden, retrieving, or training tricks.

When you recall him don't put him straight on the lead all the time, sometimes send him off again to play, otherwise he will think his fun is ended whenever he comes back to you. The truth is, you have to make yourself really interesting to him - giving him little treats and playing with him.

I think in addition it might be a good idea to join a training class, which would give you some help and tips and keep him occupied! Good luck...

Agree with Karen, sounds like boredom to me too . Lab pups , all pups really, need mental stimulation as well as physical , so yes, try some retrieving with him , mentally challenging activities are very tiring and satisfying for them too x

As well as the things @Karen suggests, do you give him frozen stuffed kongs? I give my puppy - same age - three each day - morning, afternoon and early evening. Each one can keep her busy for about 30 minutes and does tire her.
