I know I posted about how much Harley dreams (moves and makes sounds) when she was younger. She is still a very vivid dreamer. It doesn't seemed to have lessened with age. So my question, as a novice dog owner, is this most likely going to continue for the rest of her life? It isn't a problem at all, I am just curious.
Belle was a frequent dreamer all her life, squeaking and running. Scooby was too - for the short time he was with us. Coco much less so. When he occasionally dreams, it's for very short periods, mainly twitching. I'm guessing they probably stay the same for life. Of course, they may dream in silence and stillness. Maybe someone else has a different experience - it will be interesting to see..
Going by dogs I've had in the past, not Labs, I'll say it will continue. Funny, now you say, I rarely see Cassie doing that.
I saw something somewhere that said when your dog dreams they dream of you and it made me smile I would bet £1000 that Stanley dreams of his next meal rather than me though
Yes Sky has moved, twitched and woofed all her life when she's dreaming. It is lovely as we always wonder what she's dreaming about .
Lucky barks in his sleep too - they are really silly high pitched play barks! He also does a lot of sniffing in his dreams. Sometimes he has bad dreams and growls - which is funny because he rarely growls when he's awake!
Sam makes little noises and has leg twitches too, but very occasionally , he will actually howl, lift his head and howl like a wolf ! Heaven knows what this means !
Cody is a very active dreamer. He woofs, twitches & his eyes sometimes open yet he is asleep. I have woken at 4am before to a yupping noise ( best way to describe it) and come down to check on I'm for him to look at me as if to say "it's a bit early isn't it"
