Very happy! I never would have guessed this would happen based on the first two weeks of them together. Odie was actually pretty grumpy for a few days once Axel accepted Gizmo. Because then Gizmo and Axel would play all the time. But the last few days Odie has been playing with them again and seems himself.

It melted my heart that's for sure! They have snuggled some more since then too, so I'm hoping it continues
Gizmo is growing fast and getting a bit more wild which makes Axel a bit more wild but they are great friends. They follow each other every where, play bitey face all day long, and snuggle up at times. Gizmo will go up to Axel and rub his head under axels chin, so sweet. Axel always gives him a morning kiss. Odie and gizmo have started wrestling, also very cute. I took a video that I will have to post in the next couple days. But until then just some updated pictures. Hard to see, but Odie and gizmo wrestling Here Axel is enjoying his bone while these two wait for scraps to fall off. If gizmo got to close Axel would give him a big lick Gizmo likes to follow Axel everywhere, even if it's just for some water
It’s crazy to think back to how stressful the first two weeks were, and now here we are. Axel and Gizmo have such a wonderful bond, a better bond than I ever imagined they would have. Gizmo got neutered the other day and Axel has been giving him lots of kisses and cuddles, such a sweet big boy he is. It’s funny because Odie and Axel do not have this kind of bond, I mean they are definitely ‘brothers’ but they aren’t buddies. When they see each other for the first time in the morning they run to each other for a quick hello, but other than that they play maybe once a day but never cuddle, they just co exist happily. Then there is Axel and Gizmo, always playing, then sleeping, and drinking water together even. When Gizmo sees Axel for the first time each day he runs to him and stands up so he can give Axel head butts on Axels chin, just very affectionate to each other. Anyways, I set up a bed in the living room last night as Axel had been throwing up in the afternoon and Gizmo needed extra attention because of his neuter, so I wanted to be with them and close to a door for Axel. They cuddled for hours
Oh my goodness, they are wonderful!!! My daughter has an adopted kitten in her apartment and is going through the same issues with trying to get her dog Alto to accept the kitten - I sent her the photos of Axel and Gizmo!!!
Aw good! I hope it gives her hope! While going through it it seemed like an eternity, but it was so worth the wait (considering I almost gave up multiple times and returned gizmo)
