.... coming down in the morning and Cody expecting snuggles before he gets up for his walk.

He won't leave the sofa until he has had a good cuddle. He then stretches out, has a few yawns, slips off the sofa and is good to go. It doesn't matter if its 6am or 9am - he never hassles and is always half asleep when we come down.

My fave part of the day.

    What's your 1 thing?

The all-morning walks. Just me, Holly and a tennis ball for swimmy fetch.

The happy greeting when I walk through the door. It's unconditional.

Waking up on a day off and thinking, great just me and Cassie, what shall we do and where shall we go?

No matter how tired I was or how discouraged or sick, crawling into bed with Brogan at the end day, cuddling him under my arm, kissing him on the head and smelling his special doggie smell and saying, "Night, night, buddy... mama loves you."

And I still tell him that every night.

I've narrowed my list down to 5. Will sleep on it and decide the top one in the morning.

Constant companionship - no grumpy moods or moans like us humans.

I don't know about that...I've had some chihuahuas who could hold a grumpy mood BETTER than most humans. :D

The last two hours of the day when we have all been busy all day and we settle down for the evening before bed time . Love cuddles from dogs and watching them relaxing knowing they have been fed, exercised, mentally stimulated, rested etc etc.

There are too many things to have a favourite!

Long, peaceful walks in the mountains.
    Morning Labrabed silliness.
Having my ears cleaned by a determined tongue.
    The unquestioning devotion.
How they light up when I play games with them.
    How individual they all are.
How much they have taught me about kindness, patience and treating everyone as an individual.

Aaaah, I'm cheating, I know, but I could go on and on :)

At the risk of sounding soppy or dramatic , this time last year Sam was diagnosed with lymphoma . So, my favourite thing in the world , it to watch him running in the woods and thank whoever is in charge, for the time he has xx

He's the one person in the world who regardless of any situation instantly makes me happy.

A crap day is easily fixed with a few tail wags, lots of kisses and a big cuddle. And he is always more than happy to give them :)

When I call her name and she comes racing to me with a massive "dog smile"...or when she gently touches her nose to the back of my leg to see if she can have some food :)
