    Hi There,

I am a Newbie to Labrador Forum. I was previewing my first thread before posting. I needed to edit several grammar errors but could not find an EDIT BUTTON to do so. Somehow I hit something and my thread was posted without letting me edit anything... My thread is now awaiting a moderation.
I am seriously going to look like a Doofus if this thread is not edited.... HELP!

Angie sits in the corner with her Dunce cap on waiting for an answer <=- (

Hi Angie :) I approved your posts and tidied up a few tiny things before making them public. Hope I got the things you wanted to change! I think the edit button might only appear once posts have actually been posted, which they technically are not if they are sitting in the moderation queue (as all new members' initial posts are).

Rachael is right. The first few times you post, your posts are put into a moderation queue to prevent spamming (to any spammers out there reading this, we're really good at spotting you, even if you try to be sneaky - but most of you are just stupid, so don't even bother). People who haven't yet passed our "real person" test don't get to edit their posts. Once you make it to the heady heights of regular membership, which doesn't take long, and doesn't even require the sacrifice of your first-born to our Lambie overlords, you get an edit button under your posts for five minutes. We restricted it to this timeframe because it enables people to clean up any typos, or make clarifications etc to their posts, but doesn't let members change the post later on, once other people have replied.

I am loving the fact that we have a new member who is concerned enough about the quality of their post that they make another post about it. Hehe. Welcome my friend, welcome :)

Hehe, to be fair, we secretly like the spammers, I think. Especially the sneaky ones. Spotting sneaky is a great game, and we always win. Bwahaha!
