Hello , Archie is my 3.5 year old foxred, he has been well socialised but over the last 12 months has become very dominant and aggressive with other dogs and barks at people.he is well trained and obedient and has been castrated 9 mths ago. Unfortunately I will not let children fuss him as I'm unsure how he will react. Help, frustrated lab owner
Hi , and welcome . What a worry this must be for you ! Unless you can think of something that triggered this change in his behaviour , then I think the Vet might be the best port of call . Our dogs are so good at hiding physical symptoms , so get him checked out first , then, if all is well , probably best to seek the help of a behaviourist who can observe and recommend the best way forward , good luck
I'm with @kateincornwall that unless you are aware of the cause for the behaviour change a trip to the vet for a full health check followed by an appointment with a behaviourist for assessment and modification programme.
Hi and welcome. I too recommend a visit to the vets to rule out an u decrying health issue. What was he like before he was castrated? Does he get off lead time? Does he meet lots of new dogs on his walks or dogs that he knows?
