It was my first thought. That video is an example of Ella on a calm day, after a full day of exercise and training, and possibly a mild sedative I really did end up with a crazy one
LOL! Maybe that is the secret here. I am always saying how easy Harley is...we don't know any in real life labs...maybe she is just a calm lab? I have wondered that before...You guys are the norm and we are the outliers..
I don't really have much experience with other labs either so maybe you have a "normal" one and I somehow ended up with a lunatic I'll try to get a video of Ella's zoomies for you next time
Too sweet! I always think burning energy before bed is good for a good night's sleep. Snowie had two zoomie sessions yesterday. But he is silent throughout. Harley has such a deep voice - so surprising given her sweet, innocent look!
@MF She talks all the time in that grumble, if she brings you a toy and wants to initiate a game you get the rumble. DH is working on putting it on cue because it is so cute. She doesn't bark much and we don't encourage it because I am very noise sensitive and am startled easily, but we want her to have a voice so she grumbles away.
Snowie also talks - LOVE it!! He has a variety of voices, incredibly cute. Sometimes he actually sounds like he's saying "good morning"!
Stanley is either really calm or has completely lost his mind. There's no in between. He's generally pretty lazy around the house and can usually be found snoozing on his spot on the couch.
Monty doesn't really do zoomies. he does excited running with other dogs and play growling if he's got something really exciting in his mouth (a dustpan brush is his fave), a bit of dancing and dodging about, but i can count on one hand the number of real zoomy episodes he's had.
Koda does the zoomies about 5 or 6 times a day. Usually outside, but once in a while he'll do it inside. He's completely uncontrollable. And catching him? Impossible. Yesterday and so far today he's been nuts. Even after a walk and some play time, the zoomies continue.
Here you go @Harley Quinn, the OH managed to keep Ella's zoomies going this evening so I could catch the tail end on video for you
First time Zeke did the random zip zagging around I thought there was something wrong with him, came to sites like this to find out it's normal. Zeke, a Frisbee, and the zoomies. (April, 2016) .
Lovely! Here's Lucky's version - he does the zoomies in the exact spot every time we go past - especially when the grass is long! He's fallen in the river by mistake three times while doing it - which doesn't work out so well for him because he's scared of water We have reached the point where his zoomies are under control - as you can see from his checking in and recalls! I think two were check ins and one recall.
