This is fun, to think about and to read all the replies. Bearing in mind Molly is a youngster and I'm getting a bit long in the tooth, there's not much we have in common. Certainly I couldn't in my wildest dreams consider eating some of the things Molls find delicious Interestingly though, she seems to have a great deal in common with virtually all the other dogs included in these replies
Yes - we are both excitable, lack impulse control, and like the sound of our own voices! We also both like meeting new people. But... I'm a morning person and Lucky likes a good lie in. I'd like to think I'm the one with more focus. I like cuddles more than Lucky, so have to use a treat to get him up on the sofa. Lucky loves to be outside exploring, and I love watching him enjoy himself!
I tend to be very serious and Harley is wonderful for me because she is a clown, she really brings out my inner child. And even though I am very good with people I tend to avoid meeting new people in a social environment. Harley is the polar opposite, with her absolute love for everyone. What I also really admire how she just shrugs off other dogs or people not wanting to interact, because I know how much she loves interaction. She just moooovvveeesss on. I overthink ALL the TIME - I do think it is an occupational hazard, I notice everything and observe most things. Harley just lives for the moment. And to connect with her, I have to as well. She is very good for me.
Me and Dawson love sleeping on the floor.scavenging for food and going in the garden for relief!!!!! Funny how it's only me that gets told off though!!!!
Quinn and I both not very affectionate, accept the way things are, have a few favourite people and dogs, and don't pay much attention to others. We both enjoy long drives with the windows down, visiting friends, soft blankets and fresh salmon. We also don't pay much attention to OH's "commands" and internally roll our eyes (or look at each other knowingly)...we're very much alike
Harley likes lie ins - so do I Harley is a fussy eater - as am I Harley is very fit and active - Unfortunately I'm not as fit as I once was! Harley loves friends and family - as so I Harley loves snuggles - as do I Harley loves learning new things - as do I Harley can be impulsive - as can I Harley is wary of new dogs - as am I I think we are quite alike!
Lilly loves her food, enjoys lazy days lying in the sunshine, and is a bit grumpy if you invade her space. Snap
What a good question! Both of my Rottie boys (Duncan and Brogan) as well as my pittie girl (Mama Jodhi) were party animals - they loved people, people loved them and they were happiest being surrounded by attention and admirers, the more the better. They also had sunny personalities and greeted each day with enthusiasm and a positive attitude. All these traits are what I WISH I could be. But am not. Ironically, while I can talk a blue streak, I'm actually an introvert - shy, socially awkward and much happier being off to the side and not the centre of anyone's attention. I always said Brogan was George Clooney, while I was his faceless personal assistant...and I was very happy with that status quo. For a year I had a little foster dog named Emma, a little chihuahua mix, who tried to bite me the first time she met me and then took over a month to come around to loving Brogan and myself. She could hold a very precise grudge, liked to spend her days hiding under the covers, was distinctly grumpy with children and felt that most humans were just put on the planet to stress her out. Now SHE was my spirit animal. Emma and Brogan showing their very different personalities: Brogan: "Oh, how I love everyone, especially children!" Emma: "Oh good grief, can we go home yet?" Brogan: "A foggy day at the beach, isn't it beautiful!" Emma: "My feet are wet and the humidity is causing my ears to droop. Don't you understand that my squinty death-stare means it's time to get into the car and go home to my sofa?"
I loved reading all these. For my part, me and the Pig are both stubborn, neurotic and anxious about new things. We are both scared of OH's driving. We don't like to get our puppy-boobies wet. And we like our sleep. The Pig is slightly more keen on calf poo than me, I would say. The Pig is known as 'the most beautiful dog in the village' and once a man came out the pub to snog her. Im probably at the 50th percentile of women in the village and no man has come out the pub to snog me thank god! (You should see the men round here...)
