My 7 month old lab is great and we have a fantastic realtionship (he literally can't live without me) but he does sometimes show his teeth and that is because he gets over excited he will show his teeth for a bit then run around like a crazy dog. And nothing i can do this only occurs when either he's digging
Can you describe what he's doing when he 'shows teeth'? I'm not sure when you mean. Do you mean he has his mouth open? Is he barking? Growling? Is his tongue hanging out? I agree that he's probably just excited (perhaps over-excited).
Could it be the zoomies? My boy often digs when he has the zoomies, and barks, picks up sticks, and runs around like a lunatic for a couple of minutes. I just leave him to it if it's safe. If it is the zoomies, and it is becoming a problem, think about if it usually happens in a predictable way. If so, you can try changing your routine a bit - walk a different route or have more calm time on walks so he doesn't get too excited - maybe this would help.
Yes he definitely gets over excited the red part of his penis comes out. And he runs like a lunatic and thank you both for the replies
If he's excited and running round then it's not likely to be aggressive, even if you can see his teeth.
