Our new pup we adopted from the Barstow humane society at our Victorville PetSmart this Saturday doesn't have much info on him. They say he's about 14 weeks old, gray eyes and silver/gray coat, he's got a ridge of wirey hair with a wave to it from neck to tail. They assume he's a Labrador retriever but I want to make sure because of his color and such.

Hi Brittany. I'm afraid it's against the forum rules to ask for confirmation of pedigree. Unless your puppy has registration papers, we can't tell if he is a Labrador or not. The best we could do would be to say that he has features similar to a Labrador - or not - but since Labs are very diverse themselves, even that is hard to say.

The reason we have this rule is that, in some cultures, people hold huge stock in owning a pedigree dog and, if someone were to suggest that it wasn't, they would dispose of the puppy. I'm certain that's not the case here, but I hope you understand why we can't make exceptions to the rule.

We would love to see pictures of your new boy and hear all about him, though, Labrador or not (we have lots of other breeds and mixes on here), so please do pop over to the introductions section and tell us a bit about him!
