Argh!!!! The pressure! OK, I shall stop jabbering on about other things and slink off until I at least have some DOG news and/or photos, if not PUPPY news.
You can run but you can't hide from the Labradors. ..... they are everywhere and I do mean everywhere
The worse thing about all this is it's making think about a puppy, a nice little black sweetie. No no no look what you've done.
Good. @SwampDonkey , you go off and do the hard work of finding the perfect litter and I'll just keep having lovely meet ups with Forum people and pups and enjoying the whole UK tourism thing. Then when our two puppies are ready, all I'll need to do is show up to take my boy home. I even already have most of my puppy stuff in the back of my car. Done and dusted then. Get to work!
I'll find you a good breeder with pups Emily! All you have to do is get me one too.. then OH will have to understand because you can't refuse a gift
I think my Oh could manage the rude. He was looking a little pinched and worried when my friend rang about the Labrador that was looking for a home
Pongo is a legend. He invented and perfected the muddy wallow down-and-roll, a manouevre that left the other Labradors in the SW pack awestruck!
OK, I know I said I wasn't going to post again until I had some dog news, but (1) I'm having a UK-specific issue and (2) I have a hard time shutting myself up. So you've been warned: THIS POST IS OFF-TOPIC. I've been working long hours lately, trying to stay out of the deadly Tesco anyway (you English people have SOOO much delightful pre-fab food that I can only DREAM of in Germany or Spain) and the end result is the only thing left in my kitchen is tea bags and sugar, provided by the landlady. Now, I normally don't drink tea (nothing personal against your national drink or anything, I just don't like hot liquids - I even do soup cold) but as it's literally all I have and I'm facing an all-nighter for work, I'm giving it a try. But this, this just doesn't look like any tea I've ever seen. Is that even safe to drink??? I'm telling you, I'm having worse culture shock here in little old Clevedon than pretty much anywhere I've ever been. Of course, it could be hunger and sad lack of Labradors. Good thing Benson, Casper and Bramble will be giving me a fresh Lab infusion this weekend.
That doesn't look like tea to my Emily. You need some Yorkshire tea, with a dollop of milk and 2 sugars. On point! Treat yourself and get to Tesco* *although I'm more of an Aldi gal personally
He he he I'm sorry that looks like gravy. I got no idea what's up with it as I don't drink hot things either. Perhaps don't drink it? You don't want to be ill with your Labrador weekend coming up.
It does! Me, too. I love me some Aldi! There's a super Tesco here though that kind of blew my tiny little mind when I went my first day here. So many aisles! There were two aisles just for pre-prepared food! Do you know what you can get pre-prepared where I live in Germany? Frozen pizza and lasagna. For fresh prepared, you can get eight kinds of potato salad. That's it. The concept that I could get Indian or Chinese food in a little plastic container here...wow. Mind blown. So...must stay away from Tesco or I'll simply spend the next three weeks eating my way through those two aisles of food. Ooops...off topic again. Um...dogs...dogs...I've heard back from two people Kate @Beanwood graciously put me in touch with, but they are both way up north, so visits will have to wait. But they were very kind and said I was welcome. Therefore there is at least the glimmer of hope that at some point during this Labratour there will be actual serious dog research happening.
Hahaha Emily, it's so true, my OH is always complaining about the supermarkets here in Germany and the lack of ready meals...!!!
