I don't believe it. : Small Black Dog had an altercation with a Small Black Cat a few days ago and now she's frightened of said cat and I have a big struggle to get her to walk past the cat's house. Small Black Dog is a friendly little soul and she was brought up with a cat from a tiny puppy so she always tries to make friends with cats when she she's them outside - until now. The cat in question was under a car and Lady put her nose under to say hello. BIG mistake, and fortunately she's pretty quick on her feet and jinked back as the cat attacked! Well since then what a struggle! This morning I got her most of the way past the cottages with the cat when out it pops and arches it's back. Lady legs it back down the footpath and through the stile into the field full of sheep and hides amongst the sheep. ;D I have to walk back to get her and put her on the lead. Retrace steps to cottages. Out comes Small Black Cat (and it's tiny) arching back and facing up to Lady who really doesn't want to know, so I let her off the lead and she legs it in the correct direction this time with the cat in pursuit. :-[ Now as you know, this is a delicate subject, so please treat it in strict confidence as a Small Black Dog's reputation is at stake here. ;D

Re: It was black & white cows, but now it's small black cats! I think you repeatedly under estimate the lovely Lady. Clearly, she is a sensitive person and knew she upset the cat last time. She was simply going out of her way to make sure that she didn't scare it again. So she camouflaged herself amoung the sheep.
