Usually they seem to leave around mid October. A few more weeks to go. Ugh Lol! Well it definitely makes me think twice about my evening walks now! Oh hey mom, meet my new friends! I'm surprised he didn't run down to them to say 'hello! My name is Axel! We are now best friends!' (Thank god he didn't)
I saw a fat, slow, tired old lab today on our walk. He wandered up to say hello to Ella (Ella was bouncing around like an idiot ) and then lay down for a rest. The lady asked how old pur puppy was and she tried to hide her surprise when I told her that Ella was two. The I asked how old her boy was and was totally unable to hide my shock when she said he was three!! Poor boy
We have to go to a family 'do' today. No dogs allowed so Holly is staying with a dog sitter. Last night was SO strange. We had the whole bed to ourselves, no quiet snoring from the bottom of the bed, and we actually had to set the alarms clock! I hope that she had a good nights sleep at the dog sitter.
Oh another pig! Don't let them meet. they will achieve pig critical mass who knows what will happen, cow poo is sure to be involved though
I get so mad when I see people on my Facebook getting dogs who I know shouldn't. The person this time had to get rid of a kitten because it was too stressful. How on earth is she going to cope with a puppy?! And she put videos of her child ragging about the kitten with her laughing. And it's a pitbull/staffy cross which I'm sure are banned here in the U.K.?! Poor little thing is going to have such a rubbish life
If the poor soul gets a life at all. Pitbull/mixes ARE banned breeds in the UK and you need to comply with some very stringent requirements to keep one. (They're banned totally here in the Isle of Man, yet still people occasionally bring one in as a "rescue", and guess what - it's destroyed - heartbreaking)
My boss is traveling to Bulgaria this weekend to pick up a Yorkshire terrier rescue. I wonder if I can get him to pop in on his way back
I have become mad about Weimaraner's. They're so beautiful Not sure it's going to be the dog for us though - they look quite high maintenance and as though they don't tolerate being alone well. Stanleys not left for long periods but 3 or so hours some days. Does anyone have any experience of them?
Yes it'd not so good though. They can be a little temperamental i know some nice ones and ok ones but i know some absolute horrors. They need careful handling and I usually avoid them if I see one I don't know well. They don't seem very emotionally robust. Look pretty but I wouldn't want one on the evidence I've seen. That's just my experience though
My aunt and uncle have weims. They are lovely, but they drool - A LOT! Not like Labrador drool, it's like a tap that's been left on
Luna's in season (at last!) - I read all these stories of "she kept herself so clean, I hardly noticed" and "silent seasons". It's like a scene from the Texas Chainsaw Massacre here... ... not to mention she has lost all hint of steadiness; she can't even sit while I walk away two paces.
