Hi all I've been looking at prices for George's food (Beta Puppy) and I've seen that it's a LOT cheaper to buy online than at my local pet store. But I've never bought it online before, so I'm a bit wary. Does anyone in the UK order their dog food online? Has it been okay? And can anyone recommend a company? Thanks for any replies Teresa (and George)
Sam has Skinners duck and rice , I buy it using Amazon , cheaper than anywhere else, usually arrives the day after ordering , not let down yet !
Yes - we buy ours through Amazon, no problems at all. I do absolutely all of my shopping online lol .
I've bought all my dog food (and cat food) online for the last 3 years through numerous companies without any problem
I buy Arden Grange Lamb and Rice from Swellpets, two bags are so much cheaper and I have always been very satisfied.
I get mine (Orijen) from monster pet supplies online, been fine so far, but I price check before I buy, so would get from Fetch or Amazon if cheaper.
I use Zooplus - no problems. Someone a month or so was let down by zooplus though - posted about it but can't recall who. Amazon is quicker - zooplus is around 5 working days for delivery in my experience.
I get mine (Skinners) from Amazon usually - but last time it was cheaper somewhere else...and I can't for the life of me remember where Just make sure to order a good week or so before you run out.
If you don't have access on line you can phone and place and order over the phone. I do this a lot because I don't have internet access at home.

Thanks for any replies Teresa (and George)[/QUOTE] Hi Teresa, I started buying my Arden Grange 12kg from Pets at Home for about £38 (I had a money off voucher) then searched online and found it for £27.99 at Amazon and the same price on Zooplus, and since being recommended Zooplus (by snowbunny) I have ordered loads from them and not had any problems.

So thanks for the heads up of Zooplus and to all who have mentioned it.
My main complaint with Zooplus, and one of the reasons I don't use them very often, is that I'm ordering from a UK website but the goods are packaged and despatched from Germany - not very environmentally friendly. Delivery is also usually around 5 days from order where with other companies I can receive delivery either next day (if ordered by a certain time) or within 48 hours.
It was me. I had used Zooplus for years with no problems, then they made some terrible mistakes earlier this year when I was wanting to transition both dogs to new food. They actually sent me cat food (I don’t have a cat) and didn’t deliver all the food I ordered. Trying to get them to sort it out turned into a minor nightmare. I never did get the food I ordered for Sky even though I kept getting told it was on it’s way. Would never use them again. I accept mistakes sometimes happen but they made such a hash of trying to sort it out. Fetch are brilliant - easy to order and quick deliveries. Get the Hill’s i/d from them. Buy dried food from local pet shop.
