Lola has had another seizure today and when she has gone on a 'scavenge', she has ripped a hole in the big bag of food we have for her .

She now has an obviously full stomach and she looks quite uncomfortable. Is there anything I can do to help settle her stomach?

She hasn't been sick yet (3 hours later) and, based on previous 'mishaps',I don't think she will now.

I've rubbed her stomach and we've had a very short walk but she still looks quite bloated

Oh dear , poor little sausage . I think ( but I am a worrier ) that I`d ring the Vet , especially is she is pacey and cant settle . Dogs can and do get bloat when they have gobbled food too quickly , it can be severe . I know also from experience that seizure dogs can become ravenously hungry after a seizure , its really tough , but truly, if she is not settled , I would get some advice x

She is sleeping now, but I just don't know how much she has eaten. She shredded all food wrappers in the bin and tipped over her water bowl too!

I was out picking my son up from school so a 45 minute window.

It is odd to say but I was quite relieved that she had had a seizure as she has been acting odd all day. She has been quite anxious and has been 'stress humping' a big caterpillar teddy that my son has

Vet advised just to keep a watchful eye on her.

I think we'll have another short walk once my other half is home

Shadow got into a bag of food when he was staying at a friend's house whilst Willow recovered from her spay. He was huge. I took him to the emergency vet (of course it was night time on a weekend), they x-rayed him to check it was just food and not bloat, then gave us meds for him to take for three days, and he had (I forget exactly) 24 or 48 hours with no food. Poor sausage.

Has she pooped? Could something have caused an obstruction?

If she has overeaten, is uncomfortable I wouldn't take her for a walk but let her rest. General advice is not to exercise within an hour of eating so I would be cautious.

How is Lola today? Hope she's a bit more like her usual self.

She finally pooed it is the first time she has got to food like that and even lucid I have to separate her food into 3 portions to stop her gobbling too much at once!

She only had half of what she normally had for her breakfast because she still has a bit of a 'gut' and she is normally very trim.

We didn't do a long walk, just up and down the street to get her a little fresh air as she gets quite hot after a seizure.

Thank you for your messages she does like to keep me on my toes!
