One of my son’s homework tasks this half-term is to teach a pet a new trick / game. My son is quite excited by the prospect (possibly because it is not maths!) Any ideas for something reasonably simple he can teach our dog? Many thanks

Bow is a great one. It looks cute and it looks impressive. When I taught Coco, I made the cue, eventually, to be me, bowing to him with my hands behind my back.
Am I the only one wondering what the assignment is if the kid only has a stick insect for a pet? "Look sticky!" Tada!
Maybe they could teach a sibling a new trick I like sit pretty/up sit/beg (sitting down, bum on ground but front legs lifted up in front). Looks cute and it's good for the dog too - or so I'm told - the agility people train it as a good core strength exercise
