My new pup is only 8 weeks old, so I am trying very hard not to get frustrated. I know this is all part of the puppy process, but it is hard when I feel like the only thing we can do is go in the kennel or go outside to potty otherwise I get pee in the house.

He will go in the kennel, no problem. After a little time passes, I will take him out immediately outside and he pees and poos nearly right away. As soon as we come back inside, if I let him walk around any (I have a play pen area setup) he will pee again (even if he just peed a lot 5-10 min prior). I just feel like it is either kennel or outside or holding him, otherwise he is going to pee on the floor and I don't want TOO many accidents in the house because I am scared he will smell the scent and always want to go there again (even though I am using the Nature's Miracle Enzyme cleaner). I feel like I can't even let him in the play pen with the kids because he will just pee in there as soon as he hits the floor even immediately after going outside :(

Sorry...I am a first time puppy owner so maybe this is totally normal. I am not mad at the puppy, just got a little frustrated today after it happened back to back after going outside twice. I work at home, so during the day I am the only one home to deal with it until my kids and husband get home which makes it harder.

Is there a holy grail enzyme cleaner I should get that is better than the Nature's Miracle brand so he will not smell the scent to go again in the same area?

Eight weeks is very young, he’ll be having accidents until 16 weeks most likely - so you need to re-adjust your expectations :)

Here is an excellent article to help you - https://www.thelabradorsite.com/what-to-expect-of-a-new-labrador-puppy/

And welcome to you from Mags, Tatze and Keir from Manchester UK

Tatze is my pet dog, a black Lab and she's four years old. Tatze means 'paw' in German.

Keir is my fifth Guide Dog puppy, a yellow Golden Retriever/Flatcoat cross and he's five months old.

Hi and welcome from me and my boy Bailey. As @Boogie says you have a very young pup and accidents will happen. So long as you are following the instructions on the enzyme cleaner it should be fine (my OH didn't need to read the instructions apparently and Bailey kept going on one particular spot until I cleaned it up!). Take a positive that at 8 weeks old your pup is reluctant to soil his den :)

You are right, that is definitely a positive! He won't (or never has) go in the kennel and I am so happy for that. I have made sure to follow the instructions on the Enzyme cleaner and will continue to just be patient for the next few weeks :)

Welcome. Puppies are certainly a big shock to the dusted, but be patient and consistent and he will quickly learn.
