    Thanks guys :)

I know he's not my dog but he's sort of my nephew type dog. He stays with us regularly and we've had him stay since he was a baby. Him & Matty live by themselves in their lad pad and he goes to work every day in the van with him. He's really a lovely (naughty) little thing and Stanley just adores him.

Poor Basil has had a visit off his dad. Still not eating but hopefully get some answers today as just waiting for some more test results. His little bandage just breaks my heart!

The vets think it's a really bad case of gastroenteritis.

They've given him an injection to stimulate hunger and are doing some further tests.

Hopefully if that's what it is there should be some improvement soon.

That sounds promising - I hope they're right and he starts getting better quickly.

That's actually good news, isn't it? Gastroenteritis, especially in such a young dog where he had immediate vet attention, should be something he can get over without lasting effects. I'm glad you posted the photo. Yes, the bandage is pitiful, but otherwise it's good to see him standing up and not looking too thin. Hang in there, Basil...and eat something soon, ok?
