Hi everyone My fur baby Penny is in vets waiting for operation under GA for a very bad paw wound. This happened when she stood on glass when out for her usual run around this morning. I wish humans would be a bit more considerate when chucking broken glass about parks. My poor wee pup x
Oh no I am so sorry, we had this as well a couple of years ago. It did heal up completely, but it wasn't much fun - and it is not easy keeping a bandaged paw dry. I found these booties, available on amazon, excellent: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Large-Pawz...qid=1511964578&sr=1-4&keywords=pawz+dog+boots I actually have a pack of large (for putting over a bandaged paw), and a set of medium (for use on paws without bandage). Good luck, hope it heals quickly!
My GSP managed to cut all four paws at different times on glass, once the vet's looked like a bloodbath when I took her in. I get so mad when people complain about dog poo (I do pick it up!) but do not complain about broken bottles or other human detritus. Hope Penny feels so much better this evening when home again.
Poor Penny, I sympathise, Charlie regularly cuts his paws on flint as there's heaps of it where I live. I hope she recovers well xx
Awww, poor little pup - yes MIGHTY annoying how careless people can be. Fingers crossed for quick healing for Penny x
One nice thing about Oregon's bottle deposit laws. There is a lot less glass around. I hope Penny's foot heals quickly.
Oh your poor baby - I hope all has gone well and she is safe and sound at home recovering. Hope all heals well and quickly. Keep your chin up, people are inconsiderate unfortunately and sometimes there is just nothing we can do to protect our fur babies from other people. Bailey sends licks to Penny xx
Thanks everyone she is home safe and sound and detesting the plastic collar. I am working long hrs for next couple of days so my poor daughter has to tend the sick pup ..aw well its a test of our strength and love we have for our fur babies x
