We were on a wait list for an obedience class beginning December 5th called Real Life Rover. I got a call today, December 4th, saying we are in the class! I am so excited that we will get to do obedience with Aspen.

I think it will be really great for not only myself and Aspen to bond but especially for my boyfriend and Aspen to bond. I think they really need someone else showing them how to work together instead of just me asking my boyfriend to train with him.

Super excited! Our class is tomorrow at 7:15 and we go without our dogs to the first class. I have heard a lot of great things about this school and I am excited to have someone there helping me and answering questions in real time. I am sure I will be the person with the hyperactive lab pup. :D Or that someone will assume he is older than he is and just plain naughty because of how large he is! Can't wait to tell people he is only 7 months old, haha!

Sounds like this class will be really good for the three of you. Good luck, and enjoy!

Sounds fun! Don't worry what other people think, just go do your thing and enjoy.

I don't know how many classes I was in where the "problem child" was the Lab and I honestly never thought, "Oh that naughty dog". I DID have lots of admiration for the patience of the crazy Lab's human and respect (and wonder) that they didn't resort to sedating the dog prior to class. ;)

What did seem to happen though, was that by the end of the class (or rather series of classes), when "crazy pup" made progress, all the other humans would be cheering him on! :)

There might be other Labs :) In my dog's class Labs were 3 out of the 5 dogs there! Good luck, sounds like it’ll be a blast and really good for Aspen :)

Good luck! I would really like to do another class with Bailey but they are all on evenings that I work :( hey ho! Enjoy it though and don't worry about what others think so long as you do your thing and get the benefit from it for you, your boyfriend and Aspen that is all that matters :)
