Hi I'm Mandy. I'm the proud owner of a 4yr old black Lab, Lucan. He's pure working bred, sire is 2xFTW Branxholme Bailey of Highdunscott, I would love to know if anyone has a relative. We've done some gundog training, unfortunately he is held back by an owner who hasn't got the facilities, knowledge or time to take it any further. I also have Bracken my beautiful 7yr old English Pointer, a right character but slightly lacking in the brain department. ;D

I suspect not related (I suspect no working genes at all in Lilly : ) I also suffer for lack of time and momentum but love reading about everyone's gundoggery success on here. I sure you will pick up loads of tips. Great to have you and your dogs as members Jac and Lilly - 3&1/2 year black lab girly.

Hi Mandy, Your dogs sound lovely,we aren't related ;D but I've got a gorgeous working lab too who is a pet who is completely sabotaged by an in experienced owner..... ;D we do our best and I've enjoyed the successes we've had no end,don't give up on training ,just enjoy the time you have to put in ....any work I do with Dexter is really just to keep him interested ,I feel a responsibility to him for his heritage ;D but there's no training help or resources for a gun dog where I live in Dubai,the forum has been an absolute god send for help,advice and support Best wishes Angela
