Re: Fireworks Morning All, Bit of a damp squid last night!! Not many people had fireworks around our way but those that where let off Charlie did so well. So another star to add to his collection...is anything gonna faze this little lad?? For those of you who weren't quite successful persevere it'll come good That's one thing i have learnt over the passed couple of months. Patience & perseverance are definitely the key! Re: Fireworks Puzzle has been completly unaffected by the fireworks, just slpet through them all :, barley on the other hand has been the one barking, whinning and getting all worked up over them, i think this year has been the worst for the amount of fireworks that went off.

Re: Fireworks I hope so Rachael I'd like him eagerly anticipating a lovely pheasant to go and pick up. There were guns in the distance on our walk today and he didn't turn a hair so I'm hopeful that it's just a case of getting him used to loud bangs gradually......
Re: Fireworks Yin and Yang in our house last night. We seemed to be slap bang in the middle of the Bermuda Triangle of Edinburgh's Public Firework Shows....three all within a mile and a half and very noisy and colourful skies....when bladders got full we attempted to go out, Cuilli got as far as the front door then legged it back up stairs, scrabbled at me in a Scooby Doo fashion at our door as I fumbled with keys, shot in, and hid under my bed for ten minutes recovery time. She did emerge again at the sound of Dinner being put into bowls, it was really noisy in the house but managed to get her playing find the treat/Duumy/Toy for an hour or so as a distraction, she still barked at particularly loud whizzes though and kept looking worriedly at the windows .. Actually, although she wasn't happy, she was better than last year I think....Brodick - sauntered out of the house into the whizzes and bangs and cracks, had a nice long wee, sat with me looking at the fireworks in the sky, then got bored and wanted to go to The Place Where The Hedgehog Lives, he was that unfazed....they are so different. Both had Sounds Scary CD with fireworks played to them a lot as pups, both had same socialisation experiences as pups, but still react differently... now, off to catch up on all the recent posts!
