They phoned again today. She’s doing really well and still doesn’t need a cone. She’s being a typical friendly, happy, waggy Lab. she goes back to the vet for a check up on Wednesday, when they’ll phone again. We miss her xx .
I heard from Mollie's trainer today. Mollie is still recuperating so she's having lots of cuddles and playing brain games with her. She's so clever she's mastering each one in no time. Luckily they have lots to keep bringing new ones out. She's having lead walks too, but no free runs just yet.
I heard again from Mollie’s trainer today. She’s doing brilliantly and is now working in full harness, indicating crossing poles and indicating empty chairs as well as guiding her trainer round obstacles and ignoring distractions. Her trainer loves her and said “I can’t sing her praises highly enough”. I’m very proud. This is from exactly one year ago
We had a magical morning today, making me realise that puppy raising is the Best Job in the Whole World. We went to Atherton to watch Mollie working and meet her for the last time before she moves on to Shrewsbury on Monday for her advanced training and matching with her owner. She was completely paw perfect. Her trainer hasn’t been able to fault her in any of her training, she’s been 100% paw perfect all the way. Then we met her at Big School and Keir got to play with her. She remembered us and Keir. He was over the moon to see her again and have a good old play in the sandpit. Wonderful, every precious minute. Watching her work - Meeting her back at Big School - Playing with Keir - Keir was overjoyed - Mollie exactly a year ago when she’d earned her puppy jacket
(Well, that's my big ugly cry taken care of for today then. ) Wonderful news, photos and videos. I'm so glad you got to see Mollie again and that even she and Keir had time for a play. What you do is amazing, Mags.
Such a fantastic update, thanks Mags. Look at the beautiful Mollie working so well, at such a young age. I notice that she still has such a serious face though I also noticed how quickly you 'walked' to the play enclosure
Beautiful videos and photos - brought a happy tear or two here. Well done Mollie, and well done you for giving her the best start.
