After flying across the continent and a lovely 4 hour sleep : I'm back at home and glad to be so!! Hopefully will have some chances today to catch up with all your news. Was worried about the pooch as he has discovered how to escape the yard, but he was here safe and sound, phew! The last couple of days we had our daughter leave him inside while she was at school, and had a lovely young man come and give him a walk at noon. I was leery of having him inside alone that long, but he did fine! Nothing chewed to pieces....Sarah discovered a couple things he had obviously snatched off the counters but the joy of the hunt seems to have been the point as she found them more or less intact on the floor when she got back. I left on Wednesday AM, and hubs joined me Friday, leaving Sarah to cope over the weekend, and she wasn't home a lot due to volleyball tourney. So....the negatives while we were gone? 1) Ate the margarine and honey off the table, and threw up the whole mess on the carpet once hubby got home on Wednesday night. 2) two escapes from the yard over the weekend 3) Again took marg off the table and ate it while Sarah gone (hmmm...you'd think she would have learned the first time????) : 4) didn't sleep well - kept Sarah up with whining, etc in our bedroom - she had to go sleep there two of the nights, but he was still restless But we were greeted at 2 AM when we got home with a waggy, licky, joyfully-whining pup, which was nice. He had a little post-excitement chew on his Nylabone and settled down to sleep just fine. Considering all the things I feared might happen, I consider this a pretty good outcome all in all. He continually surprises me - for the good, most times..... :
Re: We're home and so is Simba.... Great post Lisa glad you are back safe and had a nice break..... Margarine sick....twice,yuck!Deadly snacking on grapes.....and not a feather out of him. Your Simba truly has the stomach of a lion! ;D Have you got a bit of carpentry to do now to find a solution for the escape acts?thats the biggest worry isn't it..that's not naughtiness that just making the most of an opportunity He is a good boy, you've done a really good job with all your patience and love for him, you'll fettle his remaining quirks for sure x

Re: We're home and so is Simba.... Yup, poor Mark will have to find some time in the next couple days to try to block the Great Escaper.....we're away again Friday night, drat, but Sarah will be home (poor girl).....then once that's over, should be clear sailing until Christmas in regards to going away, phew..... Yes, Julie, very glad for ol' iron guts.... :
Re: We're home and so is Simba.... Iron guts is right...just thinking back to the can of bacon fat.... Glad it went well Margarine and honey casualties and one vomit aren't too bad in the grand scheme of things. I can easily say that because I'm not the one who had to clean your carpet...
