Well it's a wet & windy bank holiday, but no dogs at all? Really? We just went out for an afternoon stroll along a muddy river bank, obviously a popular walking spot looking at all the footprints. It was raining sideways. It was chilly. I recorded a gust of wind of 47.9 mph on my pocket anemometer. But Coco loved it. He sniffed. He cavorted. He trotted. He smiled. He's flaked out now. But where was everyone else? No dogs. No people. It makes me a bit sad. Still, nice to get out.
The same here. I've often noticed a lack of dogs around on wet and windy days. On a bright sunny you can hardly move for them!
I find the same by me. If it's really cold or raining we rarely see any other dogs. There are a few like us that walk in any weather, but not many. In the nicer months I sometimes see up to 20-30 dogs on a walk. In bad weather I rarely even see 1 dog! It frustrates me as when they all come out in the nicer months they are rarely properly socialised and cause issues with their dogs running over to us and jumping all over Harley until she tells them off or I managed to hold them until the owner eventually arrives! I personally like this weather as its just us
Same here in Cornwall , where is blowing a gale and chucking it down . I took Nelly to Golitha Falls , expecting the car park to be packed , even given the inclement weather , it wasn't . What do these people actually do to keep their dogs occupied ? Bit of rain never hurt anyone and anyway, its so lovely when you get back home in the warmth , dog towelled off and happy x
Tentsmuir was quieter than expected too. Although we were there before 12. Might have been hangover effect. Really need to go by car.
