My lab had a red eye on Christmas. That seemed to settle but have just noticed it now has a bulging apoearance. Her upper lid feels very swollen. She doesn' seem bothered by it and allows me to look but not sure what could be wrong? I can' see any grass seeds etc. When she sits up she has a very startled impression!

Any ideas? Will take her vets when they open tonorrow.

Poor soul , sounds like it could be some sort of infection , in which case a course of antibiotics should sort it out , your Vet is definitely the best person to see, good luck tomorrow !

I definitely second getting checked by your vet ASAP.
    Don't take risks with eyes.

Straight to the vet. Most surgeries are linked to a veterinary hospital for out of hours emergencies. I would go NOW and not wait until tomorrow. Your dog will be in a lot of pain.

Please keep us posted and hope her eye is sorted soon :)

Think I'd be finding an emergency Vet too. Like us dogs have two of many things and can do quite well with only one. But eyes, jeepers, best to have two good working ones.

I would take her to the vet, or at least phone for some advice.

Eyes = immediate vet visit. Do not delay. Best of luck.
