Hi, wondered if anyone has any advice on how to deal with biting . My black Labrador is currently 13 weeks and is my 4 th black lab. My previous 2 bit a little bit but not this bad . I have a 5 and 9 year old children so this is making life tricky. I’ve turned my back on her and walked away , to which she leaps and bites my legs / hangs on trousers. I have put her outside for a few minutes , I have put her in her crate , I have made a loud noise, I have said No in a loud voice ..... but nothing works can anyone advice , Thank u in advance Claire
Nothing cures the biting. It’s just a case of managing them until they grow out of it. I know they are crazy crocodiles at this age - All mine have been! It's 100% normal. Some are much worse than others. My Mollie was simply terrible. Take heart, they do grow out of it. Wear tight sleeves and skinny jeans - wellies if necessary! Here are some articles with the best advice - more importantly, it WORKS! The only tip which didn't work for mine was the yelping - that just made them even more excited. Thank u , il take a look , she’s definitely the worst regaurding this out of the 4 I have had , so I’m thinking what am I doing wrong . I will have a look through the above things , it’s so difficult trying to protect the children from her biting but trying to let them bond with her too .
Your not doing wrong its a lab thing out of the last 3 2 have bin crocopups and one did not bite at all
yeah our 1st didn’t really , Then we had sisters and they did a bit ....... Now Blossom Well...... she is terrible for it
