The dogs were having a smashing walk at the woods this morning , before the rain began About half way through the walk , we met a lady I havent seen before with her rough coated JRT , we chatted as we walked and she asked me about Millie and what her background was . I explained all to her, saying that Millie was being booked in for a spay next month , her response just staggered me . She said why didnt I wait, let Millie have a litter and make a bit of cash As is this wasnt bad enough , she went on to say that her male JRT was entire and would make an ideal sire for a fee of £200 Trying hard to keep a lid on things , I went on to say that not only had I pledged to the shelter than Millie would be spayed at their Vets at their expense , but that she was not a well bred little dog , badly undershot jaw etc . Amazingly , she said that I could tell the shelter that the mating was an accident , also that most likely not all of any pups would have Millies jaw probs . It was at this point that I called the dogs and walked away , no wonder the shelters are full of unwanted dogs
Re: Some people make me want to scream .. Of course why didn't I realise my dog is a commodity like a bag of flour! Honestly!! I'm no Animal Rights activist but some people seem to have absolutely no thought or consideration for an animals well-being at all !!!
