So for Christmas I was gifted a Furbo. For anyone who doesn't know what that is, it's basically just a baby monitor for your dog. You can check on them, talk to them, be alerted if they are barking, and it tosses treats. I looked at it about a hundred times on Amazon but never actually bought it for myself because I thought it would be too ridiculous Buuut...like I said, I was gifted one and I was ECSTATIC. So Aspen is a shredder of plushie toys. But ONLY plushie toys. And the occasional cardboard if I'm feeling generous. He has a really nice Serta dog bed that I got him a couple months ago. He sleeps with it in his crate occasionally, and he has slept on it the last two nights. So today, I check on him with the Furbo while I'm at work and I get this as my live feed: My sweet boy...sleeping in his empire of trash. I was so mad for a second, but the longer I looked at him, I just couldn't be mad anymore. Luckily I can just re-fill it with more orthopedic padding and sew a new bottom on but he really, really went to town on his bed
Lol! I always get a kick out of pics like this, especially the major destruction ones people post on Instagram!
Lol! That’s great, I want a camera like that. Axel would have ate all the evidence though then thrown it up several weeks later
Silly, Aspen! That reminds me of the time Teller got into the Christmas ribbon I just bought - beautiful gold with a lacy look and the last one in-store - he shredded it and then brought me the wad he had in his mouth while wagging his tail. I was so mad then I couldn't be. Teller also shreds plushie toys which is why he can only have a limited variety of rubber toys. He tears up beds too but by digging in them? Btw, I love how Aspen is sleeping!
Cooper and Tilly are shredders of Plush toys also. They will hold them down and rip them apart, or play tug with them, with the same result. Yesterday our family room looked like a cotton field after a storm. Fortunately they don't eat them, they just rip them up, and they confine their destruction to plush toys, so we do buy them for the dogs entertainment.
@Beezette That's how it always goes 2 days before I had thought...Aspen has been great with his bed, he hasn't ripped it up. I jinxed myself!
Mine don't get beds until they reach the age of reason.the shortest time for a bed to survive was 16 hoursbaby Moo killed it.
